Field Application Engineer
Location:  Denver, CO

Job Overview:
This position is responsible for on-site and remote deployment, integration, upgrade and support of Ubee’s Cable Modem, Wireless, Router, eMTA and Gateway product lines in the North American market.  You will communicate internally with sales and product management teams, and externally with customers’ engineers, installers and senior management members.

A high level of technical knowledge is required to provide technical assistance and support. These skills will continually being honed through interaction with industry experts, personal study and training by Ubee HQ.

Key Responsibilities
1)    Manage and support field interoperability, testing and quality assurance activities to provide product technical operations support.
2)    Maintain a strong customer interaction and engagement specific to product homologation, case tracking and troubleshooting.
3)    Drive customer new product lab certification.
4)    Participate in the generation of Product Requirement Documents (PRD) by analyzing market trends/needs as well leveraging information from      multiple internal and external sources.
5)    Main channel of technical communication between the customer, Product Management and Global Engineering Support teams.
6)    Provide technical expertise to sales team to promote Ubee’s products and act as the main artery to develop technical relationships with MSOs.

 Experience / Qualification / Key Skills / Attributes
1)     8+ years’ experience in an engineering support role in the network/cable industry.
2)     Experience with Wifi, WireShark, PuTTY, TFTP, TR069, SNMP, and MS Office Applications is required.
3)     Solid understanding and experience in voice, video, data and wireless network design, cable modem and MTA network design and support.
4)     Windows, Linux, and OSX experience, knowledge of Voice and Data test equipment and processes / procedures, and Windows utilities.
5)     Experience with JIRA, Remedy and Confluence are a plus.
6)     Knowledge of Broadcom, Intel and other chipset architectures are a plus.

 Qualifications/Abilities/Minimum
– Excellent presentation, product demonstration and communication skills plus extensive network troubleshooting skills.
– Ability to build relationships and assist in driving sales.
– Travel required (up to 50%)
– Formal Education: BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
