Sr. Field Application Engineer

Reports to : VP, EMEA

Location: Paris

Major Responsibilities:

- Support customer (Service providers, Telco and MSO) with product definition, development, qualification, and deployment
- Based in Paris will travel throughout Europe (mainly Spain, UK, and NL) to support key customer technical development engineers
- Help debug and write embedded C code (MIPS, ARM, etc…) used in communication devices like modems and routers
- Work with factory (in Taiwan) to help drive product development, ensure features asked by customer are implemented and that product meets customer specification

Qualifications:

-  3 to 5 years embedded code design or applications experience (experience at Thomson, Philips, Sony, Linksys, Broadcom, Texas Instruments, ST micro, or similar)

-  Fluent in embedded C code, Java, and the likes…
-  Knows communication protocols, IP, VoIP, TCP, Routing, IPv6, IMS, Packetcable, DOCSIS, DSL, FTTx,
-  Fluent in English and French, Mandarin Chinese is a great plus
-  Travel required : more than 30% throughout Europe and to Taiwan
