
Director - Corporate Development and Investor Relations
Reports to: Chief Strategy Officer
Location: Jubai or Taipei, Taiwan
Job Overview:
Director – Corporate Development and Investor Relations is responsible for Ubee Interactive Corporate Development which includes project managing the overall IPO process of Ubee Interactive as well as future M&A opportunities. Post successful IPO, this role will also serve as the window to the investment community in terms of managing all aspects of investor relationships such as partnering and managing the analysts community for optimized coverage.
Major Responsibilities:
• Manage Ubee’s IPO processes:
o Recommend and select legal, accounting and financial advisors.
o Manage internal and external resources to enable timely IPO preparations pursuant to board mandates.
o Assess and formulate ideal capital and legal structures.
o Assess and formulate ESOP.
o Implement/manage any internal control initiatives required for IPO.
o Manage corporate actions and regulatory compliances required for listing activities.
• Assess corporate M&A opportunities and participate in due diligence
o Formulate investment thesis and business cases.
o Analyze target’s financial statements.
o Create detailed financial models/forecasts to quantify value creation opportunities.
o Conduct market/industry researches to qualify business cases.
o Manage internal resources and external advisors in due diligence.
• Represent Ubee within the investment communities
o Mapping the investment community eco-system.
o Provide prompt feedbacks to the management on the key drivers for better coverage and higher valuation opportunities.
o Articulate Ubee’s corporate strategies to the analysts and institutional investors.
o Manage additional capital raising activities as warranted.
• Managing a cross functional team
o Act as the overall leader to deliver IPO and future M&A with a cross functional team that is made up of representatives from Strategy, Finance, Operations, Sales & Marketing departments.
Qualifications:
• Proven successful finance related experience especially in the capital market in Taiwan. (10 years)
o Prefer candidates who have lead IPO in Taiwan.
o Prefer candidates who have lead M&A deals.
• Strategic thinker with strong hands on project management background
• Strong leadership skills especially managing virtual team and team members from related departments and partner companies across the globe.
• Strong interpersonal skills with cross cultural understanding.
• Proven strong oral and written communication skills in Chinese and proficient in English
• Proven strong presentation skills in Chinese and proficient in English
• Consumer electronic, cable & telecom, high-technology and related industry experience (minimum 5 years experience)
• Multi language is a plus especially – Mandarin Chinese and English
• Minimum education requirement Bachelors of Science in Business Administration
o Prefer candidates with MBA or equivalent.
o Prefer candidates with CFA accreditation.
Travel required:
• Expected to have 10% time travel internationally.
