From Ambit to Ubee

The opportunity in a new name

As you might know, we recently changed our name from Ambit Microsystems to Ubee Interactive.

Initially we saw this as an isolated project with the objective to come up with a new name. However, as we took a closer look, we realized that a new name, logo, etc. was a great opportunity to re-vitalize the company and focus even more on what makes us stand out and appreciated in the broadband CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) marketplace.

Authenticity is key

We knew that our new name, our brand, would have to be a true reflection of what we are, and how we do business. So, we got most of the company together in a room (it was a fairly big room..), locked the door, and asked each other why, and how, we make a mark within our industry.

The answers were both revealing and clarifying. And they defined the corner stones of what we call the The Ubee difference; what we are, and increasingly will be, known for.

The next step was to ask our customers how they perceived us. The tangible and intangible stuff that characterized us as a significant vendor in the broadband marketplace.
The good news was that our self assessment closely matched how our customers viewed us. A price-competitive and flexible partner.

The challenge was that our core traits were not known to a degree or an extent that we, in all modesty, believed we deserved.

Not just window dressing

Listening to our employees and customers gave us the clarity and focus we needed in order to roll up our sleeves and develop a new name and a brand, that reflects our true personality.

As a result, we now have a memorable new name, a more contemporary logo, a new website, business cards and more. And we couldn’t be more proud. 

And here’s the point. The new name, logo, website etc. is not just window dressing. It is a true reflection of the Ubee difference, our experience, approach and attitude.
