Yuan-Hao Lin, CEO.
Dr. Lin is a 30 year telecom industry veteran. Prior his joining Ubee in 2007, Dr. Lin was COO and CTO of Nortel China. Before Nortel, he served AT&T, Bell Labs and Lucent for sixteen years. Dr. Lin graduated from National Taiwan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Engineering and Applied Sciences from Yale University.
Maria Popo, President, Americas.
Maria joined Ubee in 2002 and has been leading its American operations since 2006. Prior to that, Maria held product management, marketing, and executive sales roles at 3Com Corporation, 3M Telecom and Dorran Photonics supporting the Service Provider markets for both consumer and commercial product lines. Maria is a trained Software Engineer of Colorado Technical University.
Benjamin Huang, VP, Europe.
Huang joined Ubee in 2002 and, in the past 7 years, has led the sales and marketing team in Europe and Asia Pacific regions, where he has been very successful in developing a number of large MSO and Service provider accounts. Huang is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Kaohsung Medical University and also an MBA from International Trading Institute of Taiwan.
Jackie Yang, VP, Asia Pacific.
Jackie has been serving Foxconn and Ubee for 16 years, and successfully led the business development of GSM/CDMA RF amplifier and LCD power inverter product lines. Jackie has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Fu Jen Catholic University.
Charles Kuai, Chief Strategy Officer.
Charles is a seasoned executive in the Telecom, Media, and Technology sectors with nearly 20 years of experience in Americas, Europe & Middle East, and Asia Pacific. Prior to joining Ubee in 2008, he was Chief Strategy Officer of CNS, Taiwan’s largest Cable Operator. Charles also held executive and management positions at Nortel, TenFold, and AT&T. Charles holds an EMBA from Northwestern University.
Robert Tsai, Chief Operating Officer.
Robert has been running the Ubee cable business operations for the last seven years. Prior to that, Robert made significant contributions in the PC, notebook and set top box business for Acer, Wistron and Foxconn. Robert has an MBA degree from Syracuse University.
Tony Hsu, Chief Technology Officer.
Tony has more than 30 years’ experience in system architecture and design, including planning, designing, and implementing for Taiwan’s first ISDN/ADSL routing platform which shipped more than 15 million units. Before joining Ubee in 2008, Tony was GM of a Taiwanese publicly listed network branding company, running its Greater China operations. Prior to that, he was SVP leading a broadband business unit which designed, manufactured, and sold broadband access CPE products. Tony holds a Master’s degree in computer engineering from Arizona State University.
Frank Liu, Chief Financial Officer.
Frank has been in the Finance & Accounting & Business Planning field for over 20 years with an MBA degree from the University of Missouri. Before joining Ubee in 2007, Frank held senior management positions in finance and general administration of well-known ODM & EMS companies which manufacture integrated consumer electronic products in Taiwan and Mainland China.
Barry Hardek, VP Business Development, Americas.
Barry is a 30 year veteran of the North American cable/telecom industry with broad experience in broadband data, voice, and video solutions. Prior to joining Ubee in 2008, he was VP of Marketing and Business Development for Everstream, the leading VOD data collection and reporting vendor in North America. Barry holds an MBA from Boston University, and BS in Business from Eastern Illinois University.
Max Cangelosi, VP Marketing, Americas.
Max joined Ubee in 2002 as the first employee in North America. He has made significant contributions in expanding Ubee’s CPE product portfolio. Today, Max oversees all Product Management and Marketing efforts for North America. In his prior role, Max held technical and Product Management roles at 3Com. Max graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from DePaul University.
Jeff Giali, VP Customer Services, Americas.
Jeff has been with Ubee since 2005. He manages MSO relationships across the US and Canada. Prior to Ubee, Jeff worked for AT&T in the Data and Internet Services group for the Rocky Mountain Region. Jeff has a background in direct sales and managing integrators in the US. Jeff graduated from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo with a degree in Business Management.
Morad Sbahi, VP of Marketing and Business Development, EMEA.
Morad is responsible for the company’s sales and marketing strategy as well as business development and operator relations across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Morad’s extensive Sales and Marketing experience includes various management roles at Broadcom, Texas Instruments and AMCC. Morad holds a BSEE from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and speaks four languages fluently.
