What do the LEDs on the front of the device indicate?

The front panel LEDs are described for the DDW3611in the following table.

Power

Green

On – Device has successfully completed internal power-on tests.

Flashes – Power-on test has failed.

DS

(downstream)

Green or Blue

On  – Data is received from the cable network. On Green for 1 DS channel locked, on Blue for DS channel bonding.

US

(upstream)

Green or Blue

On – Date is transmitted to the device.  On Green for 1 US channel locked, on Blue for US channel bonding.

Ready

Green

On – Ranging registration process is successful and the device is ready to send and receive data.

Flashes slowly – Performing upstream ranging.

Flashes quickly – Acquiring IP address and configuration file.

Off – Device received disable configuration file message.

Wlan

Green

On – At least one wireless client is linked to the device.

Flashes – Indicates traffic.

Off – No wireless clients connected.

WPS

Green

On – Wireless Protected Setup is being used.

Off – Wireless Protected Setup not being used.

Eth 1,2,3,4

Green or Blue

On – Connectivity between Ethernet ports on the modem and an Ethernet-connected device.  On Green connected at 10/100 Mbps, on Blue connected at 1000 Mbps.

Flashes – Sending or receiving data.

USB

Green

On Green- Indicates connectivity between the USB port and a USB-enabled device. Flashes when data is being transmitted or received.
